The Challenge
People in organizations often fail to recognize how truly obnoxious we can appear to colleagues. At the same time, we’d love to identify and call to attention the annoying traits of our co-workers in an attempt to extinguish undesirable behaviors volleyed in our direction. Human resources professionals, in particular, recognize that negative attitudes and habits in the workplace ultimately produce more than frustration. Unaddressed and unchecked, the “human factor” can result in devastating financial losses on corporate and individual levels, and in miserable or shipwrecked careers.

Enter PeopleServe’s timely (think “The Office,” NBC’s runaway hit) and humorous take on the corporate scene in an attempt to create more comfortable, happy, and productive work environments. In a “Dilbertesque” but more fully developed fashion, we shine a light on common human foibles and personality types that manifest to their most outrageous dimensions in organizational settings.
Via the antics of highly recognizable caricatures—everyone knows these guys & gals—we illustrate the everyday ridiculous, from the pompous office fathead to the sniveling underling whose self-esteem is so low it doesn’t even register. In so doing, we hope to reduce the annoyance and cost factors borne by hapless workmates, vendors, and customers, and to prompt a salubrious guffaw in the process.
